The Northern Gateway scheme has created 500 jobs, added an enterprise center, car park, and street improvements, and redeveloped the former Co-op store with public and private funding.

An industrial development by Coverland UK Ltd, offering 65,000 sq ft of business space across four plots with excellent transport links. It includes light industrial units, trade counters, and secure premises ranging from 2,250 to 30,000 sq ft, with planning submission expected in Q1 2024.
The Staveley Town Deal supports the restoration of the Chesterfield Canal, including 350m of canal channel restoration, new bridges, a lock, upgraded footpaths, and improved town connectivity. Additionally, shop front improvements and public realm works on High Street will enhance the town center and its conservation area.
